What it is

Ideogram's models specialize in rendering visible text as design — stylized lettering, logos, labels, thumbnails and posters. Version 4's strategically important change is open weights, giving teams more deployment flexibility. Ideogram V3 still appears on current leaderboards as the artistic-typography reference.

What it's best at

Any prompt where the words are the point: t-shirt graphics, neon signage, embossed lettering, brand logos and poster layouts. For raw character-level accuracy GPT Image 2 edges it, but for stylized, artistic lettering Ideogram remains the leader.
